Introduced in the market in 1990, Film 90<\/strong> is used in the production of composite materials made with epoxy and polyester resins and with glass, carbon and arammidic fibers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Film 90 has been designed to be used in direct contact with the resin to obtain a gloss, smooth surface without any steps.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is used with a special application in the roto-translaction process to manufacture tubolar composites with a circular or elliptical section, also with a conical structure.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

General Features of Film 90 in the Manufacturing of Composites<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Film 90 is made on our specifications<\/strong>, with a targeted recipe concerning the polypropylene grade and a peculiar production process which gives mechanical strength and other physical features.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This film has poor mechanical properties<\/strong> and a quick and strong heat-shrinkage. <\/strong>To obtain tubolar items with good structural characteristics an overwrapping with another film is compulsory.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The special formulation of the film permits to use it with medium temperatures of polymerization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thanks to the special chemical-physical composition Film 90 has release capabilities<\/strong> on both sides of the film. This film is not coated with laque or silicone for release purposes. In this way no transfer of coating or silicone and no contamination of the composite is possible, and there is no need to clean or sand the item after polymerization.<\/p>\n

Direct Contact with Tubolars<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is used<\/strong> to wrap the rod to manufacture in direct contact with the resin (primary wrapping).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The main function<\/strong> is to give the gloss finish to the composite without any steps. But it also keeps all the termosetting resin within the item during the liquid stage and guarantees an easy release at the end of polimerisation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It can be used for highly conical rods and ovals.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The available nominal thickness<\/strong> is 25 micron, the nominal unit weight is 22 grams per square metre, the nominal yield 44 square metres per kilogram.<\/p>\n
